About Just Desserts

Are you looking for extraordinary treats for entertaining or for a special occasion? Just Desserts has filled orders for holiday entertaining, cocktail, graduation, and birthday parties, as well as family celebrations. Orders range in size from one cake to 400 assorted pieces.

Deirdre Parker has been a passionate baker all her life and started Just Desserts in 2005 after completing the Fundamentals of Pastry Technique course at L’Academie de Cuisine. Since starting the business, Deirdre has made thousand of cookies, cakes, pies and tarts for customers; each product is made with care, made to order and made using the freshest ingredients.

In addition to dessert catering, Deirdre teaches baking classes at her home and for two metropolitan area education programs. Prior to operating Just Desserts, she worked and volunteered for a variety of nonprofit organizations with responsibilities in fundraising, education, and event planning.

Deirdre and her husband have been residents of the Mount Vernon area of Alexandria for more than 20 years and have two children.
